It was never really a fan of conventional tourist places with boring crowd and always seek adventure and fun whenever I am travelling. The world is a book and those who do not travel, read only one page. With its magnificent beaches, tropical weather, numerous islands and exuberant royal palaces, Thailand is the first destination I’d choose if I want to unwind and go wild in the nature and culture of an unknown land. Here’s why I’m so crazy over this place and the best ways to make an unforgettable experience out of it.

 

 

Things to do in Thailand

1.Visit the Grand Palace and WatPrakeaw

The timeless architecture and intricate details of the Grand Palace have been attracting visitors from around the world since time immemorial. Moreover, places of religious relevance have never really interested me but you must NOT miss out on the Grand Palace in Bangkok!

 

Additionally, the WatPhraKeaw or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is not one to be missed. The temple has on display the statue of a magnificent Buddha completely made out of jade.

2.Take a stroll through the Railey Beach

Situated in the south of Thailand in Krabi, the only way to get to the Railey Beach is to get a boat, which makes it all the more adventurous!

 

Also, you won’t find a single car here as there are no roads to drive on. So it will just be you, your guests and the lush Thai greens.

3. Go Diving off The Coast of Koh Lanta

Known for its coral-fringed beaches, mangroves, limestone outcrops and rainforests, the island of Koh Lanta is bound to enchant you with its scenic beauty. Furthermore, the island is only 20 kms in length and there are 17 dive shops where you will have some of the most beautiful diving experiences in the world.

4. Take the Thai-Burma Railway

Also known as the Death Railway because of the Javanese, Malayan Tamils of Indian originBurmese, Chinese, Thai and other Southeast Asians who died in its construction — including 100,000 Tamils alone. Scary, right? Which makes it all the more fun!

5.Visit a Full Moon Party

Legend has it that a group of tourists found the most beautiful moon was in Koh Phangan. So, they arranged a party along the crescent-shaped beach of HaadRin to celebrate the Full Moon Night.

 

Pro tip: “The Rock” is one of the best places on the beach to chill. It is located at the southern end of HaadRin on a big rock (yes!).

6. Visit Ewaran Falls

The Ewaran Falls are a group of seven breath-taking falls located in the Ewaran National Park. Each of these falls has their own distinctive character. Moreover, you can spend an entire day in the park trekking from one waterfall to the next, swim in the pools where the water gathers and take in the spectacular beauty the Falls has to offer. Isn’t it fascinating?

7.Take a Trip to the City of Ayutthaya

Recognised by the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ayutthaya NEEDS to be on your to-do list. Moreover, the city houses a park which preserves the ruins of the kingdom of King U Thong. The stories about the kingdom and its ruins are bound to mesmerise you, so you do NOT want to miss this place.

8.Visit Chiang Mai Night Bazaar

Another speciality of Thailand is its Night Bazaar. During the day the Chang Klan Road is just an ordinary road in Chiang Mai, full of shops, guest houses, tourists and TukTuk drivers, but at night a transformation takes place. From dusk until midnight hundreds of stall holders line the 1km stretch of road and turn the area into a shopper’s haven. Everything is for sale including various designer products-Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Valentino..you name it (fake, of course).You can even barter with the street sellers for whatever you choose to buy which all adds to the fun. It does not matter what the weather is like or what day of the year you choose. The market will always be open.

9.Try Scuba and Snorkeling in Koh Samui

Koh Samui is an amazing place for scuba diving and snorkeling. Moreover, the Angthong Marine Park provides snorkel and kayak tour where you have go by a speedboat from Koh Samui.
