Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple is a famous Hindu temple in the holy city of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, Vajra, Hindu god Krishna grandson built this temple.

As Indian Mythology says, this temple is the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Also, temple was built some 5000 years ago.

Bir Singh Bundela or Vir Deo rebuilt this temple in 1017 AD after it got destroyed. He was an Orchha king under Mughal Empire.

Later, Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb destroyed it and then built the next temple in 1965. All this happened after a long political dispute that is still ongoing.

The temple you see today is the fourth temple but its historical significance still remains unchanged.

You can still see the prison cell where Lord Krishna was born on a dark, rainy day.

“I am that person who dropped her B.Tech (really!) and chose to travel, specifically travel blogging. I’m Manmeet Kaur, a crazy, fun loving and adventurous person from Delhi. I knew I had an interest in writing since I was in school. I didn’t want to be an engineer, doctor or I would say a teacher. My plans were different. I wanted to travel which I guess no one,  specially girl had chosen to do in my family for a living. And like other human beings on this planet I have big dreams too. But my ultimate dream is to travel the world and share my experiences through writing and blogging.” 🙂
